DrinkTank
August 21, 2008 – 3:30 pmDrinkTank was a great success thanks to the Huddle guys ‘n gals. Thanks to the brilliant, behind the scenes, organising skills of Lou, Huddle’s office manager and the marketing savvy of both Zuzanna and Andy, over 120 people showed up last night. That kept everyone busy chatting and drinking late into the evening. This is one of the first DrinkTank events Ive been to and have to say I was impressed with the turn out.The event was held in the lovely Village East on Bermondsey street across from the Huddle offices.Very informal and *very* sociable.Met a number of individuals including Andrew Yates, of Artesian, who impressed me with his explanation of the Semantic Web, the next stage of our ever evolving InterWeb.
I look forward to attending the next one in September and also checking out the Social Media Club. There seems to be quiet a lot of events on from a networking and social media perspective in London. (Thanks Bernie!). You can check out some more photos from the event here on Flickr.

Definitely was a great event. Quality people and conversations. Maybe we are moving to the social web ahead of the semantic web
