Andrew J Scott, Founder

A serial entrepreneur, Andrew ran a successful web development company serving blue chip clients through the dot com years, which he sold to CMG plc in 2001; there he developed the world’s first online digital video news archive (British Pathe with 4000 hours of video and 13+ million images) and created the UKs first interactive SMS dating application. Andrew later founded a ground breaking interactive personal fitness website (InTraining) and pioneered Europe’s first location based social software (playtxt) in 2002.

Clive Cox, CTO

Clive has developed Rummble’s patent pending trust algorithm. Before moving into the social software sector, he worked for Logica space division. He also worked in R & D for Vocalis, where he applied natural language processing techniques to the field of telephony speech recognition. Clive holds a DPhil in Computational Linguistics from Sussex University and an MPhil in Speech and Language Processing from Cambridge University.

John Rand, Operations

John is no stranger to start-up companies; he has worked with telecome and technology start-ups for over 14 years and has over 28 years experience in the telecoms industry. This includes being responsible for the design of the Cambridge Cable Franchaise’s TV/telecom network designs, Acorn Set-top-box interactive TV technology and being the principal developer of the first integrated telecom/GIS application. He has been involved with Rummble from the beginning, in the early days from running all things non technical, and is currently responsible for the business operations and administration. He predominantly lives in the South of France, and frequently visits the Rummble London office. He holds an MBA and has published several papers.

Tamer Zaky, Web, API and Mobile Web

Having obtained his M.Sc. in IT from The University of Nottingham, Tamer relocated to Cambridge to start his first job with Rummble. He’s been working hard to keep Rummble up to date with the latest web technologies, integrate Rummble with popular web services and adapt Rummble to mobile phone browsers.


Gabriel Palomino, Mobile.

Gabriel is an entrepreneurial mobile technologist with over 8 years in the mobile industry. Prior to joining the Rummble founding team, Gabriel ran his own mobile content company in Spain serving major clients including Vodafone and then spent time working with some of the top mobile applications developers including Gameloft and Livedoor.

Ina O’ Murchu, Community

Ina is the Head of Community at Rummble. She has a background in online social networks, online communities, the Social Web and Semantic Web technologies. She graduated from the Digital Enterprise Research Institute in Galway, Ireland. Currently the largest Semantic Web research institute in the World. She has been working with the Web since 1995. Ben Hull, UI/Ux Design

Ben has been designing and developing leading Australian e-commerce sites and web applications. Ben is an individual who is genuinely excited by application design for the web, and is always tinkering and designing simple but powerful user interfaces, and striving to make the web a prettier place.
Ben has been designing sites for over 10 years.

Yuri Lacerda, Web

Yuri has recently come to Rummble to work as an assistant Web Developer. He is completing his studies in Computer Science at the Federal University of Campina Grande, in Brazil, where he has been working on Digital Libraries, GIS and Multimedia Databases.

Board

John Paterson, non-exec Chairman

John is a seasoned global operator in the Information Technology sector. John was one of the original team at Systems Union Group, the authors of the SunSystem accounting and business software package. He was then CEO of a succession of VC backed turnarounds including Oxygen Solutions and Zeus Technology. John is also a Chartered Accountant. His main project now is CEO of Really Simple Systems, www.reallysimplesysystems.com, the largest UK vendor of hosted CRM systems.


Peter Larsen
, non-exec Advisor

Peter is a non executive advisor for Rummble and Director of Digital at Amazon. Prior to that he was the CEO of Enpocket, a global leader in mobile advertising; that provided technology and services for mobile advertising campaigns around the world. Enpocket was bought by Nokia last year.

Helen Keegan, non-exec Advisor

Helen.

A marketing and communications professional with over 20 years work experience, Helen has specialised in mobile marketing, advertising and media for the past 8 years. Helen was Head of Customer Experience at ZagMe, the location based mobile marketing pioneer. Helen runs her own mobile marketing, advertising and media consultancy, BeepMarketing, developing mobile strategies. Clients include NewsCorp, Sony Ericsson and Danone.

She runs the popular mobile networking event, Swedish Beers and also organises the Mobile Monday London events. She is a founder member of the Women in Mobile Data Association and blogs about mobile marketing and media over at Technokitten. Helen was recently voted in as one of the top 50 women in mobile content globally for Mobile Entertainment Magazine.

Rudy De Waele, non-exec Advisor

Rudy

Rudy is a Belgian, living and working in Barcelona, Spain. He has been working in internet media since 1995 and in mobile since 1999. Often invited as a speaker and contributing writer to a number of professional publications, his visionary thoughts on Mobile 2.0 have gone around the world. Currently he works with dotopen, an open innovation consulting firm he co-founded in 2007, advising start-ups and established companies with their strategic positioning, defining business models, creating alliances, and identifying market and funding opportunities. He is also part of the Mobile 2.0 organizing committee and the founder of MobileMonday Barcelona and Madrid. His blog is at m-Trends.org.
